Comcast extends low-cost Internet service to needy families

Comcast is continuing to offer its Internet Essentials program, which provides low-cost Internet service to families with at least one child who qualifies for free or reduced-price school meals. A new offer would qualify such families for up to six months of free Internet service, followed by a rate of $9.95 a month.
