Comcast opens up Internet Essentials to customers with unpaid bills

Comcast has launched an amnesty program for its Internet Essentials program that lets people with unpaid balances over one-year-old to have their bills forgiven and qualify for the low-cost service. The newly eligible pool of low-income customers also will be able to receive up to six months of free service.
