Etiquette list to help NICU physicians improve communication

Canadian researchers worked with the Parents from the Other Side of Treatment group to create a list of etiquette recommendations for NICU physicians to improve communication with families. The list advises physicians to call infants by name, introduce themselves and explain what they do, and to listen to and acknowledge parents. The guidelines were published in JAMA Pediatrics.
