Fewer Michigan schools fail to meet benchmarks

Michigan's just-released report cards for its middle and elementary schools showed 390 failed to meet standards this year, down from last year's 488. Despite that good news, 62 schools, 36 of them in Detroit alone, face restructuring for having failed for six consecutive years.
