Michigan transportation officials consider bridge options

The private company that owns the Ambassador Bridge, which connects Detroit and Windsor, Canada, wants to expand it or add a new bridge adjacent to the existing one to alleviate congestion. Transportation officials on both sides of the border are studying ways for the company to proceed with the $300 million project, but the process may be more difficult because two countries are involved.
