Schools struggle to deter steroid use

As concerns grow over teens' use of anabolic steroids and harmful supplements, legislators in California and Florida are considering bills to mandate drug testing for high school athletes. Only 13% of the nation's school districts currently have drug-testing policies, primarily due to the high costs involved. American School Board Journal (August 2004)
