Study says drugs for Alzheimer's also good for glaucoma

Neuroprotective drugs that slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease also appear to protect patients at risk of eye damage from glaucoma, new research suggests. Although they stressed people with glaucoma are not at higher risk for Alzheimer's, researchers said the link could lead to better understanding of the eye disease's causes and possible treatments.
