Johns Hopkins revives Baltimore neighborhood with $1.2B expansion

Johns Hopkins Hospital is undergoing a $1.2 billion expansion and razing an entire Baltimore neighborhood to its north and east. Working with Forest City Enterprises, the hospital has demolished entire blocks of row houses in a run-down neighborhood and is transforming the area into a vibrant, 88-acre community centered around medical science and technology.
