Performics shifts from Google to Publicis Groupe

Search marketing firm Performics, a division of Google via its DoubleClick acquisition, has been sold to Publicis Groupe, which will align it with its new VivaKi Nerve Center unit. Google reportedly had to shed Performics because of a perceived conflict of interest of owning an agency whose focus is helping clients improve their search rankings.
