Acer plans to enter e-book fray within 5 years

Taiwan-based Acer is planning to expand into electronic books and televisions. The move would pit Acer against Amazon and Samsung Electronics. "They definitely have to get ready for the next five years as the PC business slows down. It's hard for them to differentiate the e-book; it's kind of a 'me too' product," said Calvin Huang, a Daiwa Securities analyst.
