Educators are devising ways to engage students after summer break

A Georgia elementary-school teacher says that when students return to the classroom it's important to immediately have them complete tasks, such as organizing books or labeling supplies, in order to get them focused. Whitfield County middle-school teachers hope to engage students in lessons this year through a project-based learning approach that includes more hands-on lessons.
