Goldman says stimulus will create economic growth in later quarters

It will take the stimulus package longer to have a positive effect on the U.S. economy than Goldman Sachs previously expected, said the company. The investment bank had predicted the plan's effect might peak in in the third quarter of this year, but it now expects the package to have a greater effect in subsequent quarters. However, the firm also noted that the administration may accelerate spending for certain projects, which could affect the forecast.
