Privacy concerns lead Facebook to tighten ad guidelines

Facebook has enacted tougher advertising guidelines aimed at protecting the privacy of the site's users. "You may not give data you receive from us to any third party, including ad networks," the site's guidelines stipulate. The guidelines also prohibit the unauthorized display of user data. Marketers that fail to comply with the guidelines will be banished from the site, Facebook said.
