Rhode Island plan links student performance to teacher evaluations

The Rhode Island Board of Regents for Elementary and Secondary Education plans to make evaluations of educators and school employees more discerning and timely. The plan calls for all teachers, school administrators and support staff to receive annual in-depth reviews. For teachers, evaluations would include the achievement results of students. Previously, some teachers had not been evaluated for five or more years.
