SEC deadlock on pay claw-backs might result in no policy, sources say

A strong disagreement within the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding when and how to recover executives' pay after they engage in misconduct might leave the regulator without enforceable policy on the issue, sources said. Because of the division within the SEC, Robert Khuzami, the enforcement director, informed his colleagues that he will stop using the commission's interim policy on claw-backs, the sources said.
