Sen. Reid lines up votes for a small-business bill

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., filed a procedural move to go ahead with a small-business lending bill next month, after repeated failures to get the measure through. Reid cleared the way for a procedural vote on an amendment by Sen. Mike Johanns, R-Neb., designed to ease a paperwork requirement for businesses and another vote on a similar amendment by Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla. The Senate also will have a procedural vote on the bill.
