What will the new Gerald Desmond Bridge in Calif. look like?

This video shows the design of the new Gerald Desmond Bridge in Long Beach, Calif. It will be a cable-stayed bridge with a 1,000-foot central span and two nearly 500-foot end spans. Precast and cast in-situ box girders will be used. Construction is expected to take five years, and the design-build team consists of Shimmick Construction, FCC and Impregilo.
