72andSunny wins Smirnoff creative, replacing 14-year AOR JWT

Diageo has selected 72andSunny as the creative agency of record for its Smirnoff vodka after a review that didn't include WPP's JWT, which has held the account since 1999. JWT opted not to participate in the review. MDC Partners' 72andSunny was chosen to "help deliver our growth ambitions" for a brand that saw minimal market-share losses last year, said David Gates, Diageo's global head of premium core brands.
