Calif. ICU nurses to get palliative care training

The University of California will pay for ICU nurses at five of its medical centers to receive palliative care training so they can integrate it into patient care. The goal of the two-year program is to train 600 nurses and put policies in place to expand the practice of palliative care in the ICU.
