California egg law could imperil farm bill

Members of Congress are saying a proposal that would bar California from setting requirements for eggs imported to the state could imperil the entire farm bill. The measure was introduced by Steve King, a Republican from Iowa, the state that produces the most eggs, who said California was violating interstate commerce rules.
