Domestic intermodal volume rose 9% in Q2, says IANA

Domestic intermodal activity increased 9% in the second quarter compared to year-ago levels, which led to a 2.4% gain in total intermodal growth in the latest period, according to the Intermodal Association of North America. "Domestic container volume was the foundation of intermodal growth in both the second quarter and year to date," said IANA President and CEO Joni Casey. "Despite some segments slowing in [the second quarter], the Market Trends and Statistics data confirm the industry's underlying momentum."
