Experts: U.S. government is behind privacy-breaking malware

A recently discovered strain of malware designed to expose the identities of visitors to sites maintained by an anonymous Internet hosting company is the work of U.S. intelligence or law enforcement, security analysts now suspect. The bug, which was discovered on the servers of the privacy-laden Freedom Hosting service, exploits a vulnerability in Firefox to target users of the Tor anonymity network, experts say.
