Facing deadline, feds relax requirements for ACA navigators

The Obama administration has reduced training requirements for navigators who will guide consumers through the process of enrolling for health insurance via public marketplaces. Many states that are running their own insurance exchanges have begun training navigators as well as brokers, but the Department of Health and Human Services only recently issued rules for navigators in states where the federal government is running the exchange and funds for training have not been released.
