After Italy's highest court upheld the tax-fraud conviction of former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, concerns that the ruling might bring down the shaky coalition government are easing. Berlusconi's party backs the coalition. Berlusconi told a rally of supporters that the government should remain in office for the sake of the nation.
