German manufacturing orders rose 3.8% in June, buoyed in part by rising demand within the eurozone. "That's a really strong increase and suggests the eurozone and Germany are on the road to recovery. ... The economy in the single-currency bloc probably exited its recession in the second quarter, and we will see a gradual economic recovery in the second half," said Thilo Heidrich, an economist at Postbank.
