Give us a reason to trap carbon, farmers say

Some farmers are eager to use climate-friendly, no-till agricultural methods that trap carbon beneath the soil but say they can't afford to do so without an incentive program, such as a carbon market. "We know that raising soil organic matter is good for soil, good for society and good for climate," explains corn farmer Dave Miller, who also works as an economist for the Iowa Farm Bureau.
