Japan seeks to encourage study of language

A coalition in Japan is seeking to increase the study of Japanese language in overseas youth by offering more online instructional options and focusing on training more language teachers. The focus comes amid concerns about a decline in the number of people studying the Japanese language. Currently, China, Indonesia and South Korea have the greatest number of Japanese-language learners.
