NPCIL's nuclear project in India clears regulatory hurdle

NPCIL's proposed nuclear power plant in Mithivirdi, India, has received clearance from the Gujarat Coastal Zone Management Authority, which proposed to India's ministry of environment and forests that the project be given coastal regulatory zone approval. The facility would have six light water reactors with a total capacity of 6,000 megawatts.
