SEC's Walter is confident in muni legacy

As she prepares to depart from the Securities and Exchange Commission, Elisse Walter says she is happy at the greater prominence she, along with SEC muni chief John Cross, gave to municipal bonds. "I take a little bit of credit for helping to pluck it out of a more obscure place than it belonged. But, particularly with John Cross here, we've got leadership and the other commissioners are very interested in other initiatives to improve both disclosure and price transparency in the municipal market," she said.
