A growing number of school districts are subject to a grading system for schools -- with the A-to-F model being among the more popular models. The fallout from Tony Bennett's recent resignation as Florida schools chief could mean greater scrutiny of such systems and focus on the policies that surround them. "Maybe it will be a good thing, because we'll figure out more about the negatives and benefits of these kinds of systems," said Paul Manna, an associate professor of government at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va.
