Study: Digital divide is closing

The percentage of Texas ZIP codes without broadband access has fallen to 18%, down from 45% in 2000, according to a study by researchers from the University of Texas at Dallas. Minority-dominated urban areas are catching up to their white-dominated counterparts in terms of access, but rural areas still lag behind, the study says.
