CalPERS' new investment guru may have eye on commodities

Russell Read, the new guy in charge at the $208 billion California Public Employees' Retirement System, may move the world's largest pension fund into commodities investing for the first time. The 43-year-old Read, who became chief investment officer of CalPERS earlier this summer, plans to conduct a commodities training session for the CalPERS board in September.
