Nonprofits, colleges take up digital-media slack

Despite the prevalence of digital media, few schools teach children how to develop and use these tools, experts say. Non-profits and colleges offer some of these classes, but too many students "don't have any other way to learn all this," said Sara Mahle, education coordinator for Media Bridges, a nonprofit which offers practical computer instruction.
