Business community fears Democratic sweep

Business leaders worry that labor-friendly initiatives will gain traction if Democrats win the presidency and key Senate seats this fall. Bills that would allow employees to sue over past pay discrimination, penalize employers who pay women less than men, and make it easier for workers to unionize are of particular concern. "This is one of the most important elections the business community faces," said Bill Miller of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
