The price of oil has doubled in the past year but has fallen recently as consumers drive less. The heated debate continues over whether the price of oil depends on supply and demand, or is influenced by oil speculators driving up prices. "The vast majority of people say that speculation is driving up the price," said a spokesman for the Air Transport Association.
