Federal courts back T-Mobile vs. traffickers

A pair of federal courts have banned two companies from buying prepaid T-Mobile USA phones in bulk and then reselling them to unwitting customers after hacking into the handsets to remove the subsidies, which they pocketed, T-Mobile said. A judge in Dallas ordered ASPAC to pay $6.5 million in damages while a Houston court said Rafiq Wazir Ali of Fone Xchange could face $1 million in damages if the injunction is violated.
