Oregon debates LNG as energy costs climb

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is fast-tracking its approval of liquefied natural gas terminals much to the chagrin of some Oregon lawmakers. Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden co-sponsored legislation that would return regulatory authority for siting the terminals to the state, despite a political climate that is unfriendly to efforts to limit access to alternative energy sources.
