Homeland security czar lays out Obama terrorism views

President Barack Obama's homeland security czar says the administration aims "to disrupt, dismantle and defeat al-Qaida and its allies," even as the president "rejects an absolutist approach or the imposition of a rigid ideology on our problems." John Brennan told a Washington audience Thursday that "another attack on the U.S. homeland remains the top priority for the al-Qaida senior leadership," and that Obama takes the threat seriously. "He has encouraged us to be even more aggressive, even more proactive, and even more innovative, to seek out new ways and new opportunities for taking down these terrorists before they can kill more innocent men, women, and children," Brennan said.
