Investors return to ETFs en masse

From April 2008 to the end of last year, the value of global exchange-traded funds dropped from $805 billion to $711 billion. Now, assets invested globally in ETFs have increased to $862 billion, with net inflows accounting for roughly half of the rebound. "We're on track for assets to reach $1,000 billion by the year-end," said Deborah Fuhr of BGI.
