New DLNA marketing initiative channels consumers

With so many high-tech devices now ready to connect to television sets, the Digital Living Network Alliance -- an industry consortium of more than 200 technology companies -- is switching channels and targeting consumers wanting to easily link up their PCs, digital cameras, camera phones and game consoles. "We are almost on the late side, but we decided last year to start taking our story to retailers and through them to consumers," said Scott Smyers, chairman of the DLNA's board of directors and senior vice president at Sony. "The time is right for consumers to understand DLNA."
