U.S. reopens temporary worker visa program

The U.S. is again accepting applications for the H-2B foreign temporary worker visa. The government decided to reopen the program, which allows employers to bring foreign nationals to the U.S., after it received fewer petitions from employers than it expected. It has issued just 40,640 petitions this fiscal year, more than 25,000 fewer than the 66,000 cap.
