Get a handle on problem employees before they hurt business

Problem employees can hurt morale, give customers poor impressions of the business and even scam the company, Gwen Moran writes. "The Poor Fit" -- one of five types of problematic employees she lists -- seems right for the job at first but isn't well suited to it. To avoid this misstep, job expectations should be clearly laid out in written policies and performance reviews, said Lisa Guerin, co-author of "Dealing with Problem Employees."
