Implantable device may reverse type 2 diabetes

The EndoBarrier, a newly developed implantable sleeve, resulted in remission of type 2 diabetes in 72% of obese patients, experts at U.K.-based Musgrove Park Hospital found. The device, an incisionless alternative to duodenum switch, lines the duodenum and only allows food absorption into the lower parts of the small intestine.
