Supporters move ahead with push to create BYOB law

Supporters of a proposal to allow restaurant patrons to bring their own bottles to restaurants in Ocean City, N.J., submitted a petition last week to put the issue on the November ballot. The proposed ordinance in this dry town that has never issued a liquor license would put limits on the type and quantity of alcohol that could be consumed and the type of establishments where BYOB would be allowed.
