Facebook permits mobile ads for apps within News Feed

Facebook has opened ad space on its mobile News Feed to application developers in an effort to monetize the mobile platform, which is an increasingly popular platform to access the social network. "This is noteworthy because it's the first time that mobile users will see ads in their feed that are not triggered by their actions or those of their friends," writes Ryan Kim. No ad partners have yet been announced, but likely candidates include game app developers such as Zynga, writes Cotton Delo.
