Appeals court revives Apple's patent claim vs. Motorola

A U.S. appeals court partially reversed an International Trade Commission decision that struck down Apple's patent claim against Motorola Mobility for violations related to touch-screen technology. That ruling will revive an Apple suit that could lead to a ban on some of Motorola's Android phones. Also, Apple is scheduled to ask an appeals court on Friday to bar sales of older Samsung Electronics smartphones after winning a jury trial in federal court last year. The presiding judge refused to ban the Samsung products.
