Beechcraft looks to reorganize, strengthen business by downsizing

Beechcraft Corp. has continued to downsize in order to strengthen the core of its business -- pistons, turboprops and military aircraft. The company has consolidated production of piston and turboprop aircraft, put its Little Rock, Ark., plant up for sale and plans to sell its composites plant in Wichita, Kan. It continues to look for a buyer for the Hawker 4000 and Premier aircraft programs.
