Bell aims for increased capability, low price tag for SLS

Bell Helicopter introduced its new Short Light Single helicopter at the Paris Air Show this summer. The company is aiming to compete with the Robinson R66, by increasing the capabilities of the SLS, while keeping the cost near the R66's price tag of $830,000. The SLS is expected to fly at a speed of 125 knots at a range of 360 to 420 nm., with a useful load of 1,500 pounds.
