German industrial production surges in June

A day after a reported rise in industrial orders, the German Economy Ministry reported industrial production jumped 2.4% in June from May. "It looks as if the German economy is again walking on two feet: solid private consumption and strengthening industrial activity. The German economy is on a good way towards an impressive growth comeback in the second quarter," said ING analyst Carsten Brzeski.
