By using colorful type, interesting or retro fonts and clean typefaces, designers highlighted in this article have created welcoming and engaging sites. Great typography, however, is just the first step. "Good Web typography isn't just about a beautiful visual treatment, but about speed as well; many designers neglect performance entirely," Haack writes.
